An evening for Charlotte - Wow, what a night!

Great venue, fabulous weather, wonderful friends, family, a touch of purple, amazing organisers and lots of fun - THANK YOU!

 

After some trepidation about a benefit being organised, Rod and I were so excited by the genuine care and enthusiasm that everyone had on the evening.

We were truly humbled by the incredible generosity. The night ran beautifully thanks to the impeccable organisation by Charlotte's Crew. The prizes and donations were amazing and we are hoping that there wasn't too ...

24 February 2010 – ROUND 11 - Another round down.

Another round down.

I took Charlotte in last Monday morning for round 12 it was always going to be a big 4 days with 3 hours of pre-hydration 48hrs of continuous feed Cisplatin followed by 24hrs of post hydration. I had 3 night shifts at Qantas, meaning Beck had to endure 3 nights in the hospital. Charlotte shared the room with 3 other kids which does help to keep her entertained, you do also hear other families trials and tribulations. 24 February 2010 – ROUND 11

I have always said that every time that I am in hospital with Charlotte there seems to be a drama. Well, Rod took Charlotte in on Monday for round 11 of chemo. The bloods were done, bed was ready and she had the whole ward to herself. She didn’t throw up and she was discharged by Tuesday lunch time with no worries!!!! YEAH!!!!!! Rod has just reminded me that Charlotte did wake at 3am unsettled and he did endure that screeching of other sick children throughout the night. But overall it was ...
